First year built 1973 4430 John Deere tractor that does run and drive. Guys I don’t really know how to describe this tractor or why it is the way it is, but I’m going to tell you everything I know. Engine sounds good, transmission and quad range shifts through all the gears. I bought this tractor on an auction, believed to be a bankruptcy auction and I went to pick the tractor up the next day and someone had stolen the air breather, muffler, fuel cap, radiator cap and one rear remote, one was dangling with one bolt. I put one back on and then capped off the other one but both are still leaking, might need gasket or something. Cab is all apart, dash is missing, gauges missing, seat gone, a/c vents are gone blowers gone. Basically if it’s not in the pics it’s not there. Crazy thing besides the leaking rear remotes and where I put a new ball joint on front axle I don’t know what was really wrong with the tractor. I’m not going to stand behind this tractor and tell you it’s field ready, but I do think it’s got some great parts or possibly good enough to go back together. Excellent rear tires.
